Q: Can we limit the accessibility of certain users to guard system security? A: Yes! The system administrator has access to the SAM user-setup Module which enables a detailed definition of user rights and accessibility.
Q: Are all actions in the system recorded and will we be able to look back in the system history ourselves? A: Yes! All modules have a History Viewer included. This makes it possible to review: Aircraft history (TSN updates, Tasks/Complaint/AD-SB completion, Component handling, etc) Component history (removals, installation, tasks, etc), Task compliance history, Parts handling (purchase, repairs, receptions, sales, etc) and many more.
Q: If we only need a part of SAM's functionality, do we have to pay for the complete system? A: No, of course not! Because of its modular structure, you can simply choose only the modules you need. The SAM system works with every thinkable combination of modules. Modules could easily be added in future if needed.
Q: Is there a limit to the amount of information which could be managed by SAM? A: No! The limit in SAM data storage is determined by the hardware data storage capacity (RAM) of the hosting computer system. A fact is that as the volume of data increases, any computer will have more work to do in accessing, searching, sorting etc., the data storage in SAM is designed and indexed in a way that data can be rapidly retrieved with negligible degradation even when data files get extremely large.
Q: Is it possible to adjust the layout of the reports coming from SAM ourselves? A: Yes! All (60) standard reports coming from the SAM system can be edited with SAM's Report Builder to any extend.
